About
The Veterinary Assistant program is designed to prepare students to work in a veterinary clinic. Upon successful program completion students will be well prepared to successfully assist a Veterinary Team. The students will be educated on a variety of lab and clinical skills such as: veterinary medical terminology, restraint and handling, large animal nursing, laboratory procedures, surgical nursing and care, office procedures and relations, an introduction to anatomy and physiology, applied companion animal behavior, humane treatment/handling, and career development within the veterinary field.
