About

The Phlebotomy Program is designed to prepare students to work competently as a phlebotomist in the healthcare environment.  Upon successful program completion students will be well prepared to work in a variety of healthcare settings including Medical Offices, Hospitals, and Ambulatory Care Centers.  The students will be educated in a variety of laboratory and clinical skills including venipuncture, capillary sampling, blood culture collection, common lab screenings, urine sample collection, tissue sample collection, aseptic technique, and specimen storing and transportation.  Completion of the program will allow students to sit for the Registered Phlebotomy Technician certification exam.  A nationally recognized certification through American Medical Technologists.
