About

TCR’s Massage Therapy Program is a 2 semester, 32 credit, 630 hour program designed to help individuals develop the foundational skills needed for a successful career in Massage Therapy. Students will build skills and confidence in the application of relaxation and therapeutic massage techniques, creating a safe and therapeutic experience for their clients, and operating a massage therapy clinic. Students learn the principles of industry ethics, self-care, and proper body mechanics–and hone these, along with professionalism skills, throughout the program. With over 360 hours of hands-on lab and clinic hours, graduates will be prepared to work in Day Spas, Wellness Clinics, Integrative Health Clinics, Destination Spas & Resorts, and in their own private practices providing Relaxation / Wellness Massage (also known as Swedish Massage), Therapeutic Massage (includes health history interviews, session planning, writing treatment notes, and incorporating a variety of Neuromuscular, Myofascial, and Deep Tissue techniques), and Chair Massage. Students put all their skills together in TCR’s high-in-demand Massage Therapy Student Clinic. TCR is an Assigned School with the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) and exceeds the hours needed for licensing in Colorado and the hours required to be eligible to take the Massage and Bodywork Licensing Examination (MBLEx).
