Comprehensive training in hairstyling, esthetics, and nail care, blending lecture and hands-on practice in TCR's on-campus salon, preparing you to sit for the Colorado State Board examination.
Program Overview
About This Program
The High School Cosmetology program is a four-semester, half-day concurrent enrollment course spanning two school years. Students receive a blend of lecture and hands-on training across the full scope of cosmetology services.
Instruction covers cutting, coloring, styling, and chemical texturing for hair; facial massage, skincare, makeup, and hair removal for esthetics; and manicures, pedicures, and artificial nails for nail care. Real-world experience is built through TCR's on-campus salon.
Program Goal: Comprehensive training in cosmetology services and techniques that prepare students for licensure and successful careers in the beauty industry.

Concurrent Enrollment Priority
Priority is given to students entering their Junior year. Seniors may be considered on a case-by-case basis as space allows. Students complete the program over two school years across four semesters.
High school students are not eligible for Federal Financial Aid (Pell Grants, SEOG, Federal Work Study). However, grant and scholarship opportunities are available. Ask about these at orientation.

Program Cost (FY 2026–27)
High school concurrent enrollment Cosmetology runs at half-day across two school years (four semesters total). All amounts below are paid directly to TCR.
Year 1: Two Semesters
$6,490.21
Includes student kit, books, and sales tax in Semester 1.
Year 2: Two Semesters
$3,765.78
Includes state board testing fees in Semester 4.
Combined Program Total
Year 1 + Year 2, paid directly to TCR

Admissions Requirements
Conditions of Enrollment
A clear photocopy of a valid government-issued photo ID.
Must be sent directly to TCR from your previous school.
Mandatory attendance to review expectations, procedures, and policies specific to the Cosmetology program.
