Emergency Medical Technician

Emergency Medical Technician is a 1 semester, 15.5 credit, 300 hour program. Students who successfully complete the EMT Basic will be prepared to take the National Registry Certification exam. Our EMT Basic training follows the most current Department of Transportation curriculum and is recognized by the military. We offer many scheduling options for the working professional. Graduates of our EMT program have the opportunity to participate in a broad spectrum of experiences in the healthcare field while continually building on their interpersonal skills as part of a patient care team.

Program Information

  • Emergency Medical Technician is a 1 semester, 15.5 credit, 300 hour program

  • State examination is required for licensure

  • Available in Delta and Montrose
  • This program DOES NOT qualify for Federal Aid (Pell, SEOG, Federal Work Study, etc…)

  • Must be 18 years old to attend this program

Admissions Requirements

The following items are required as part of the conditions of enrollment:

  • ID – A photo copy of your ID

  • Immunizations – Proof of all required immunizations.

  • Background Check – Run through BIS
  • Official Transcripts – Official transcripts sent directly to us from the school you attended

  • Drug Screen – Will be done within 30 days of the start of internship. Paid for in your program fees. Program coordinator will provide a voucher for testing before the start of the internship

Students will also be required to attend an interview with program coordinators, and an orientation to go over program expectations and policies.
