A two-week expedited course for licensed cosmetologists expanding into barbering, preparing you to sit for the Colorado DORA Barbering License exam.
About This Course
Dual licensure in two weeks
Designed specifically for currently licensed cosmetologists, this concentrated crossover covers the barbering-specific skills and knowledge required to sit for the Colorado DORA Barbering License exam. Dual licensure opens the door to barber shops, full-service salons, and independent suites that serve a full-spectrum clientele.
The course runs full-day, in-seat Monday through Friday for two weeks, June 15 through June 26, 2026, with instruction led by Sergio Antillon.

Eligibility
Currently licensed cosmetologists only
Active Colorado Cosmetology License required
Financial Aid
This short-term course does not qualify for Federal Financial Aid. Full payment of $650 is due prior to the start date.
Before You Arrive
What you'll need to bring
Students must have a Colorado state-approved straight razor before the first day. TCR uses a Level 3 straight razor with disposable blades, available at saloncentric.com for approximately $22.
Any additional supply requirements will be communicated by Sergio Antillon prior to the start of class.
Application Requirements
Three documents to apply
Upload all three as part of your application. Files may be photos or scans. Legibility required.
- Active Cosmetology License
A copy of your current, active Colorado Cosmetology License (or equivalent out-of-state license). Must be valid at time of enrollment.
- Government-Issued Photo ID
A clear copy of a valid driver's license, passport, or other government-issued photo identification.
- High School Diploma or GED
A copy of your high school diploma or GED certificate.
Tuition & Fees
Course cost
The course fee covers tuition and instruction for the two-week program. The required textbook and straight razor are not included and must be purchased separately.
Full payment is due prior to the start date. This course does not qualify for Federal Financial Aid.
