Cosmetology

The Cosmetology program is a 61 credit, 2 semester, 1,474 hour program. Through the use of lecture and hands-on practice, this program provides basic training in hairstyling, esthetics, and nails. The hairstyling portion of this program covers hair cutting, coloring, styling, and chemical texture. In the esthetics courses students learn: facial massage, skin care, facial make-up, and hair removal. During the nails portion of the program students will learn nail care including manicures, pedicures, and artificial nails. Students gain valuable real-world experience working with customers through TCR’s on-campus salon.

Cosmetology is open for Post-Secondary and Concurrent Students

  • Cosmetology is a 61 credit, 1474 hour program
  • Post-Secondary: 2 semesters (Full Day, August thru June)
  • Concurrent: 4 semesters (Half Day, August thru June both years)

  • State examination is required for certification 

  • This program qualifies for Federal Aid (Pell, SEOG, Federal Work Study, etc…)

Admissions Requirements

The following items are required as part of the conditions of enrollment:

  • ID – A photo copy of your ID

  • Official Transcripts – Official transcripts sent directly to us from the school you attended

Students will also be required to attend an orientation to go over program expectations.
