About
This course prepares students with entry-level skills for Civil / Survey CAD drafting and GIS Technician. GIS is one of the world’s fastest growing industries that encompasses technologies for collecting and analyzing geographic information that includes positional data and descriptive information about places on the Earth’s surface, which can be graphically presented in maps for land use, zoning, and natural resources. The course content is designed to develop communication, leadership, and critical thinking skills. The course will provide experience in team problem solving while developing skills that will offer experience in the development and design of hands-on skills for use of standard mapping elements, land/site development and concepts in designing different civil engineering projects.
