Veterans Benefits
GI Bill®
Education Benefits
Since 1944, the GI Bill® has helped qualifying veterans and their family members cover the costs of school or training. TCR is approved to certify enrollment for veterans, active-duty service members, and eligible dependents using VA education benefits.
What You'll Need
Main Items Required for TCR
To use VA education benefits at TCR, you'll need to provide your DD-214 and a Certificate of Eligibility (COE) from the VA. The COE confirms your benefits and entitlement; bring it to the Financial Aid Office on or before your first day of class.
Overview
Using GI Bill® Benefits at TCR
GI Bill® benefits help you pay for college, graduate school, and training programs. Qualifying veterans and their family members can use these benefits at TCR to cover tuition, fees, books, supplies, and, depending on the chapter of benefits, receive a monthly housing allowance. TCR's career and technical certificate programs are approved for VA education benefits.

Process
Certifying Your Benefits at TCR
Once you’ve received your Certificate of Eligibility from the VA, follow these three steps to have TCR certify your enrollment for the term.
Submit your VA Certificate of Eligibility (COE)
Provide your COE to the Financial Aid Office on or before the first day of class. This document confirms which chapter of benefits you qualify for and the amount remaining on your entitlement.
Submit a written request for certification
Notify TCR in writing that you intend to use VA education benefits for the term. The Financial Aid Office will work with the VA to certify your enrollment.
Provide any additional documentation
You may be asked for proof of program enrollment, course schedule confirmation, or other information necessary to properly certify your benefits.
